58th Conference of European Group on Atomic Systems

Welcome to EGAS

The EGAS conference is an annual event with a long tradition, organized since 1969 by the European Group on Atomic Systems of the European Physical Society (EPS). Recent editions took place in Toruń, Poland 2026, Granada, Spain 2024, Strasbourg, France 2023, Vilnius, Lithuania 2022, Florence, Italy 2019. EGAS typically attracts 200 participants. Every third year EGAS is part of ECAMP.

The International Scientific Programme Committee is constructed by the EGAS board, a section of the Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics Division (AMOPD) of the EPS: Organisers.

  • Quantum optics, quantum information and quantum simulation
  • Frequency and time domain spectroscopy and metrology
  • Applications to astrophysics, plasma physics, biophysics, clusters

The scientific sessions of EGAS 58 will last four days, including plenary and parallel sessions with invited speakers and contributed talks and posters: Programme and Speakers.
